No, it’s not an April Fools Day gag. After 6 days of intermittent snow – go figure – we finally see some blue sky and the temperatures are in the 50’s. You can feel the energy as people in Portland begin to warm up.
I’ve watched the fruit trees blossom out and been frustrated at being unwilling to go out to take photos. I decided that I ought to get out today and see how the Japanese Garden is doing. A few camelias and a couple of azaleas were in bloom. But the prize of the day was the weeping cherry as viewed from the west porch of the Pavillion.
I’ll be back as the garden lights up with seasonal blossoms.
