After anticipating a very hot trip to southern Oregon I was surprised to witness a wonderful cooling rain and a bit of hail. The air temperature dropped into the 60’s and then the clouds started to break about an hour before sunset. Jon came in from the street and declared that there was some pretty nice light. We packed up and headed to Roxy Ann Peak to see what sunset might provide. I was wishing I’d brought a sweatshirt. That feeling will fade tomorrow when we expect to see the 90’s again. The shots of the night were to the east and did not last too long. Quite a nice way to end an evening.
